Thank you for staying connected through our monthly updates—we are grateful to have you on this journey with us.
While our weekend programs are on pause for the summer, there is a lot happening behind the scenes and on site.
This summer marks a major milestone for ARK Academy, as we begin preparations for the demolition and remodeling of our building. Alhamdulillah, we are making progress toward securing a Conditional Use Permit from the City of Irvine, an essential step toward making our vision a reality.
We are also excited to share the second post in the ARK Curriculum Blog series, written by our Islamic Studies Curriculum Designer. It takes a close look at common weaknesses of Islamic studies curricula and how our integrated approach seeks to address them.

Weekend School
In May, Saturday School celebrated the end of the academic year with a special ceremony at ARK Academy.
Sunday School held their graduation ceremony at Carbon Canyon Regional Park. The students presented beautiful Qur’an recitations, du’as, and a lively Arabic restaurant skit. Teachers and students were recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Registration for the 2025-2026 academic year opens in July—stay tuned!
Monthly Youth Qur’an Discussion
In May, Seyed Mahdi Qazwini led a thought-provoking session on verses 8–18 of Surah al-Jinn, exploring the nature of the jinn’s power and their perception of it. The discussion also touched on the important question of whether an intermediary is needed between us and Allah.
There will be no Qur’an Discussion in June as we take a short summer pause.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in July for our next session. The date will be announced on Instagram.
ARK Amazon Wishlist
Last month, we launched the ARK Academy Amazon Wishlist to help us grow our school library—and we are grateful for the generous book donations we have received so far. Every contribution supports the development of our curriculum and learning environment.
We have recently added more titles from our Islamic Studies, English Language Arts, and STEAM curriculum—and new books will continue to be added regularly.
